Built for GCC expats and cross-border families

The money app for life between two countries.

A budget in dirhams here, school fees in dinars there, family support back home. MaBayn keeps every figure in its own currency and shows you the whole picture in one place, with live rates and nothing hidden behind a conversion.

Most budgeting apps assume you live in one country. You don't.

Your salary lands in one currency. Your rent, your children's school, the money you send your parents and the car you still pay for at home all live in another. Normal apps force you to convert everything into one number and lose the meaning. MaBayn was built by an expat living between Kuwait and Dubai who got tired of running two spreadsheets.

Typical budgeting apps

  • One base currency, everything converted and blurred
  • Budgets in one currency only
  • Family support and overseas commitments become "miscellaneous"
  • Often built around bank logins, with your data on their servers
  • Usually a subscription, often in dollars

MaBayn

  • Two home currencies side by side on every screen, live rates
  • Each budget category planned in its own country's money
  • A dedicated view for family support, school fees and commitments abroad
  • No bank login. Your data stays on your device, export it any time
  • One-time price in your currency

Two countries, one clear picture.

Everything you need to run a household that spans a border, and nothing you don't.

Dual-currency everywhere

Pick your two home currencies. Your totals and every ledger entry show both, side by side, with the live rate right in the header.

Budgets per country

Rent in AED, school fees in KWD, groceries in SAR. Each category is planned in its own money and compared honestly against what you actually spent.

Commitments, posted monthly

Salary, rent, fees, subscriptions and family support in any currency. One tap posts the month, never twice, and shows what is still pending.

Debts and goals

Payoff horizons that respect interest, and savings goals that tell you the exact monthly amount to hit a date, in whichever currency the goal lives in.

Remittance planner

See what you send home each month, what it cost in fees and spread, and whether this week's rate beats your 90-day average.

The expat money calendar

Visa and ID renewals, school-fee terms, end-of-service gratuity, Ramadan and Eid budgets, Hijri dates alongside Gregorian.

Private by design. No bank login, ever.

  • Your figures are stored on your own device, not on our servers.
  • No account linking, no scraping, no selling of data.
  • Export a full backup any time. It is a plain file you own.
  • Works offline. Exchange rates refresh when you are online.

Why this matters here

Most people in the Gulf will not hand a foreign app their bank credentials, and they are right not to. MaBayn never asks. You enter what you choose to, and it never leaves your phone unless you export it.

One price. In your currency. No subscription.

Expats are tired of dollar subscriptions that quietly renew. MaBayn is bought once.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The core app is free forever on one device. Pro adds budgets in each country's own currency on up to three devices, for a one-time payment. The remittance planner and money calendar will be added to Pro at no extra cost when they launch.

Does it connect to my bank?

No, and it never will be required. You add what you want. That is the point.

Which currencies?

All 160+ world currencies with live mid-market rates, plus manual overrides so you can use your bank or exchange-house rate.

Which devices?

iPhone, iPad, Android and any laptop browser. Install it to your home screen and it behaves like a native app. A Pro licence covers three devices; each keeps its own records, and you move them with a backup file. Sync between devices is planned.

Is it in Arabic?

Yes. The whole app is available in Arabic with a full right-to-left layout — switch with one tap. اقرأ هذه الصفحة بالعربية.

What happens to my data if MaBayn shuts down?

Your figures are on your device and in your backups, not with us, so they aren't lost. An installed copy keeps working offline, though anything that relies on outside services — live rates, activating Pro on a new device, updates — may stop.
